Vandaag heb ik een kaart in vintage stijl voor jullie!
Today I made a card in Vintage style for you!
Het thema van deze maand is namelijk CASE a Teammember! Oftewel gebruik een kaart van een van de medeteamleden van het New at SU team als inspiratiebron. Ik koos deze mooie kaart van Tricia, en gaf daar vervolgens mijn eigen draai aan. Maar natuurlijk bleef ik ook zo veel mogelijk trouw aan de Tricia's vintage kaart die ik als uitgangspunt had gekozen.

The theme of this month is Case a Teammember! So we have to use a card of one of the other New at SU teammembers as an inspiration to make your own version of it. I chose this lovely card of Tricia, and copied a bit but also added my own ideas. But ofcourse I tried to stay true to the vintage card Tricia had made, and that I had chosen as my source of inspiration.

Waar Tricia een botanisch thema koos, koos ik voor het thema koffie!
Where Tricia worked in a botanical theme, I chose coffee as my theme!
De set die ik gebruikte is Latte Love, met de bijpassende stansen. Een heuse koffieset waar je de leukste dingen mee kunt doen!! Dit is een Online Only set, dus je zult deze niet in een catalogus terug kunnen vinden.

Meerdere stempels uit de set werden gebruikt voor deze collage achtige achtergrond. Dat had Tricia immers ook gedaan.
Several stamps from the set were used to make this collage-like background. after all that is what Tricia did too!
In plaats van Tricia's groen gebruikte ik okergeel als extra kleur, naast alle natureltinten.
Instead of Tricia's green I used ochre as extra colour, next to the naturals.
Het goud dat Tricia gebruikte paste prachtig bij haar kaart, maar ik veranderde dat in koper, omdat dat net iets beter bij mijn gebruikte kleuren paste. Ik stempelde en heatemboste zowel de spetters in de achtergrond als de tekst in de voorgrond.
The gold that Tricia used is beautiful with her card, but I changed that into copper, since that suited better with chosen colours. I stamped and heat embossed both the splatters in the background and the text in the centre.
Ik kopieerde het idee om de Perennial Postage stansen te gebruiken voor de tekst.
I copied the idea to use the Perennial Postage dies for the sentiment.
Tricia liet gestanste takjes achter de tekst vandaan komen, maar ik wisselde de takjes in voor deze koffiekopjes! Zijn ze niet supertof? Ik stempelde de beker en de koffie, en kleurde vervolgens de beker in met Stampin'Blends.
Tricia tucked diecut branches behind the text, but I exchanged them for these coffeecups. Aren't they cute? I stamped both cups and the coffee, but colored the cup with Stampin'Blends.
Tricia stanste aan de linkerzijde van de achtergrond een fraaie rand, maar ik koos er voor deze zijde te scheuren en plakte er een bijpassend kleurtje cardstock achter. Natuurlijk werden de randjes lekker beinkt voor een extra "grungy"resultaat.
Tricia made a lovely diecut border on the left side, but I decided to tear this side and to add some matching cardstock behind it. Ofcourse all the edges were inked, to get that "grungy"look!
In plaats van wat sequins voegde ik wat koffieboontjes toe! Eh... Koffieboontjes???
Instead of some sequins I added some coffee beans! Eh... Coffeebeans???
Ja koffieboontjes! Ik ontdekte dat je vande Flat Adhesive backed Pearls heel makkelijk koffieboontjes maakt door ze eerst een bruin kleurtje te geven en vervolgens het kenmerkende streepje. Met Stampin'Blends is dat heel makkelijk! Grappig toch?
Yes Coffee Beans! I found out that the Flat Adhesive Backed Pearl can easily be changed into coffeebeans by first giving them a brown colour, and then drawing the line gives them the right look. With Stampin'Blends it is easy to do! Isn't that a funny idea?
